On this date in 1965, The Rolling Stones' single, (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction, was released. Earlier, guitarist Keith Richards came up with the iconic riff and played it into a tape recorder before falling to sleep. See the Wikipedia page for the song. The Wikipedia page for the hotel says that he dreamt the riff. I learned about the significance of the hotel from the Dan Reed show today on WXPN, Philadelphia. Mr. Reed also said that the Phillies used to stay here for Spring training ( as does Wikipedia). According to Web accounts, the hotel is now owned by the Church of Scientology.
