Patient died waiting in ER here, then had watch snatched.
Joaquin Rivera died here. According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, 3/14/14, at pp. A1, A8: Late on Nov. 28, Rivera, 63, walked from his home on Duffield Street to Aria Health-Frankford Campus, formerly Frankford Hospital, where he complained of pain in his left arm and abdomen. He was told to sit in the waiting room. He died there, without being examined, 11 minutes later. As Rivera sat dead, two men and a woman snatched his watch and passed it to the other. When a witness went to get a security guard, hospital staff finally checked Rivera, 50 minutes after he entered the emergency room. The article concerned a new play about Mr. Rivera's life, The Happiest Song Plays Last. He was an important person in the community.
