Tony and Pete's made the greatest hoagies and cheese steaks. I don't know how long it was open. My mom remembers growing up in the late 40s, early 50s, and young people taking road trips from as far away as the Bridesburg section of Philadelphia to eat at Tony and Pete's. I remember going there in the 60s and 70s. I am not sure when it closed. It was there at least into the 70s.

Name : markerwriter Email : sjkc0072@aol.com Comments : There is a history of this iconic eatery written by a son of one of the owners, that is, Tony Marsico in his "Late Nights with David Letterman," which I read parts of in Google Books. Tony was a year ahead of me at Archbishop Ryan High School and I was acquainted with him through mutual friends who were in the band The Impossible Years.
