The Guild House is famed architect Robert Venturi's first major work. Quite a bit has been written about it. In the classic "From Bauhaus To Our House" by Tom Wolfe, it speaks to the fake TV aerial atop the building that satirizes the elderly people living here (p. 111). Sometimes it is in place, other times it is not. I called the management years ago and was told that it often blows off in bad weather and has to be put back up.
