Comments : This bridge has a structure similar to the Fern Hollow Bridge that collapsed on Jan., 28, 2022, in Pittsburgh, PA. It is of "K-frame" construction, where weight is placed on single supports that have no secondary backup. It opened in 1985 to replace a circa-1891 span. This information is from the Philadelphia Inquirer, 2/2/22, at p. B3, in an article by Ed. Blazina.
