Philadelphia's last wooden street.

Philadelphia's last wooden street.

This block was first paved with wooden blocks circa 1917. In 2012 there was reconstruction, and it was paved over. There seems to be some problem with drainage but the city plans to restore it with wooden blocks in 2016. This information is from Inga Saffron's column in the Philadelphia Inquirer, 12/25/15, at pp. D1, D2.
