Teddy Pendergrass, the late lead singer of Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes, was involved in an infamous auto accident here on 3/18/82. There is a lot about it on the Web, but the best description of the location of the crash site that I could find was at https://books.google.com/books?id=bRnG851dpC4C&pg=PA197&lpg=PA197&dq=%22lincoln+drive%22+%22teddy+pendergrass%22+rittenhouse&source=bl&ots=OkA9wQRq2w&sig=HjBEEXu3tJ6RvEZwok7IZs3Eu0g&hl=en&sa=X&ei=yeGpVN7ZBJSfyATHuoCoAw&ved=0CE0Q6AEwCA#v=onepage&q=%22lincoln%20drive%22%20%22teddy%20pendergrass%22%20rittenhouse&f=false at p. 198. Mr. Pendergrass became paralyzed in the accident.
