Crawley Wood Shop, circa 1950

Crawley Wood Shop, circa 1950

There is an article by Sam Katz in today's Inquirer about Philadelphia's history, wherein he seeks information about a photo of people standing in front of what was called Crawley Wood Shop at 1368 Kater Street. The site today appears to be the Hess gas station at Broad and Kater Streets. The photo appears to be of many African Americans of all ages standing on and in front of an A. Crawley flatbead truck. You can see the photo at http://www.philly.com/philly/news/Sam_Katz_film_.html.
