Leidy House - couple killed by train, Dec. 1885

Leidy House - couple killed by train, Dec. 1885

The original part of this house was built c. 1863-1870. Jonas and Matilda Leidy lived there originally, and were killed by a train that hit their horse drawn carriage in December 1885. (They are buried in the cemetery across the street.) It has been refurbished in a deal that is having some controversy.
