Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band slept in a van here.
The late Ed Sciaky, the legendary Philly DJ, reported that in December 1974, Bruce Springsteen and his band slept between gigs in their van on a vacant lot at this corner. It is hard to tell exactly where this was, because I don't think the Vine Street Expressway was there then and also, the landscape has probably changed with development. Maybe somebody knows more about this and can share with us.
