Greatest Game Ever Played Scene Actually Occurred Here

Johnny McDermott was the first and to this day the youngest golfer to win the U.S. Open, in 1911. In the movie, ʺThe Greatest Game Ever Played,ʺ there is a 1913 U.S. Open scene where McDermott is particularly obnoxious. According to a great article at http://www.foxsportssouth.com/fox-sports-networks/story/Youngest-US-Open-champs-health-problems-?blockID=909587&feedID=3703, the actual occurrence was at this resort, Shawnee-on-the-Delaware. McDermott eventually spent most of his life institutionalized at Norristown State Hospital (which is also on Cyber Plaque).
