Louis Armstrong played at this Philly Club.

Louis Armstrong performed here in June 1948, according to the liner notes of The All Stars In Philadelphia recording, on the Archives of Jazz label. The night club was owned by Frank Palumbo, who owned many night clubs (see Wikipedia). There is a photo of the exterior at http://digital.library.temple.edu/cdm/singleitem/collection/p15037coll3/id/37913/rec/1. But there is also a mention of a restaurant, Ciro's, run by Edward Palumbo at 15th and Walnut Streets, at http://articles.philly.com/1988-11-09/news/26247210_1_college-scholarships-court-officer-ciro.
