Only Doubleheader in Pro Basketball History

The short-lived Philadelphia Tapers of the American Basketball League played professional basketball's only doubleheader, against the Chicago Majors, here on 11/15/62. Bill Chmielewski of the Tapers was notable at the time for being allowed to play in the ABL despite not graduating from college. The Tapers had a very interesting history. See Tapers: a team that failed to stick, by Frank Fitzpatrick, in the Philadelphia Inquirer, 1/17/16, at p. D2.
