Fays Theater (a Jim Crow theater), in West Philadelphia

There is an interview in the Philadelphia Inquirer, 10/16/16 at p. H3, with legendary radio jazz deejay Bob Perkins, and he mentions seeing bands at Fays Theater, which was on this site. Googling Fays, I see it had a few incarnations, including Knickerbocker Theater, but that it had a Jim Cro history, see https://news.google.com/newspapers?nid=1532&dat=19310919&id=U4k9AAAAIBAJ&sjid=aisMAAAAIBAJ&pg=832,264263.
