Engineer/inventor/philanthropist/Drexel University graduate, Dr. Walter Golaski (1913-1996), had his workshop here. He was a leading pioneer in the manufacturing of knitted Dacron blood-vessel replacements. An actual (as opposed to cyber) historical marker will be unveiled on May 17, 2014.
