[After reading Adam's comment below (thank you, Adam!), I must now say that Johnny Callison bartended at Tomatoes, 1745 S. Easton Road, and not Inn at Blueberry Hill. I now find further confirmation on the Web upon Googling. The two establishments were very close to each other, so I must have gotten mistaken information somewhere along the line. --- Editor, 5/24/19]

Comments : There have been several articles recently about Johnny Callison because the Mets host the All Star Game tonight, and it was at Shea stadium in 1964 that he hit a three-run walk-off homerun and was MVP for the All Star Game. Some of the articles, including one in todays Philadelphia Inquirer, say that he worked at Tomatoes as a bartender, and there is a photo in the Inquirer from 1989 of him at what is supposedly Tomatoes. Tomatoes seems to be in the new complex, the Shoppes at Blueberry Hill, with Tomatoes at 1745 S. Easton Road (It might be in the next shopping center). Im pretty sure, based on my memory when I was a kid, that Johnny worked at the Inn at Blueberry Hill. (I was really a big fan. I still have the Callison bat I got at a Phillies Free Bat Day.) I think he probably worked at the Inn, which is the anchor building, and maybe later after the shopping center opened he worked at Tomatoes. If anyone has better information, please comment below.
