Don't go by the official poster as to who was there. Some acts were added, some did not appear. Joni Mitchell left the stage in tears because the crowd was not paying attention to her.

Comments : Herb Spivak, founder of Electric Factory Concerts, was on Dan Reeds WXPN show today talking about this festival, as it is its 45th anniversary. Mr. Spivak said he was driving back from the shore, probably renting a place for the family for summer, ~January 1969. He thought of the Miami Pop Festival, and impulsively pulled into the Atlantic City Race Track, asked for its owner, and struck a deal for this three-day concert. He said that Janis Joplin was paid $20,000. To him, the highlight was Procol Harum doing Whiter Shade of Pale.
