Stillwater Lake - Ice Harvesting
There was a huge ice harvesting operation on this lake in the late 1800s-early 1900s. The Pocono Mountain Ice Company later donated half the land to the Boy Scouts to form Camp Minsi, and the other half was sold to developers for Stillwater Estates. There is a youtube video that shows the operation in 1921.

Comments : I picked 23 Stillwater Drive for the address, as my family built a house on that property in 1974. Back then it went by lot numbers, ex., 23. I see that the mailing address for Lot 23 is now 418 Stillwater Drive, and it is Monroe County parcel 19/4A/1/68, PIN 19634501357286. We had a lot of fun there and on the lake. Alas, we sold the house a couple of decades ago.
