Perhaps the most famous album was David Bowie's Young Americans, on which Luther Vandross sang background. Early in the morning of 11/25/74, Bruce Springsteen visited Bowie to hear how the cover of his song by Bowie, It's Hard To Be A Saint In The City, was coming. Bowie and Springsteen conversed, but Springsteen did not stay long enough to hear his song.

Comments : Todays Inquirer at p. A12 says the following about the sale of the building, etc. Bowie recorded Young Americans here. Billy Joel developed Captain Jack here. Patti LaBelle and other Gamble and Huff artists recorded here. Sigma closed last year because of portable digital recording systems replacing traditional studios. Master tapes and historical items were shipped to the Antoinette Westphal College of Media Arts and Design at Drexel University. I wonder whats on those tapes.
